Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Wisconsin Chapter of The Wildlife Society

Hold onto your hats! The long-awaited celebration of the 50th Anniversary of WCTWS finally will be held, in conjunction with our 2023 Annual Meeting at the Radisson Hotel along the mighty Mississippi in downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin at 6-10 pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. We are planning a special social event that will celebrate the activities, accomplishments, and personalities that made the WCTWS great! You will have plenty of time during the celebration to catch up with old colleagues, learn about the history of the WCTWS, recognize past award recipients and Board members, and meet new people. You don’t have to be a current member to join in the fun and there is no registration fee for this social. Beverages and light hors d'oeuvres will be provided. Any photos (black and white, color, embarrassing, or otherwise) that document our members and organization in all its glory would be appreciated. With any luck, we will pull in over 200 retirees, regulars, and students out of their snow-bound cabins in January for a festive reflection on where we have been and a look forward on where we are going. Please let Past-President Scott Hygnstrom know if you have any contributions or would be willing to help with this celebration. He can be reached at 715-346-2301 or shygnstr@uwsp.edu
